Hi all,
I've managed to completely destroy the screen of my 8 months old sz2xp/c premium notebook.![]()
Since i'm out of money i'm using it with an external monitor for now.
However, this external monitor only seems to get any signal after/during the loading of Windows. So it's impossible to get in the BIOS or see when i have to swipe my finger for logging in.
So my question is: Is it possible to somehow make the vga output sent out signal from the start (before/at bios load)?

This may or may not work, but it is worth a try. When you boot up, you may be able to use the Fn combination to force the notebook to transmit the signal to the external display. The combination is different from notebook to notebook, but it should be easily recognisable as there are normally symbols used to dipict the function.

Or might it be possible to open the laptop and make a dvi connector at the wire that goes to the now broken lcd? Or directly from the motherboard?
Anyone ever tried this? -
if you have a user account and pass, push the down arrow, type ur pass and click enter. That should take you to the the desktop and will display on the monitor. Hopefully this will work.

That's not the problem. I can get into windows right now. But i want to get into the bios. but the external monitor doesn't get any signal before booting windows.
SZ lcd broken -> use ext. VGA at boot?
