This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Is 1 Gb enough for a SZ or is 2 GB better for the long term?

    I'm not really sure there is a "blanket" answer to that question as it all depends on what you are doing with your laptop....

    I bumped mine to 2 gigs because a typical session on my laptop involves running Visual Studio and SQL2005 at the same time, both of which are resource hogs...... and i noticed a difference when i went from 1 gig to 2
