    Hi guys,
My system resumes itself from standby all by itself, runs for a while and then goes back to standby again. And more even, if the power cord is attached to the system, it starts up all by itself. I am completely nuts about the way my system is behaving . Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks a lot.

Usually this is caused by some sort of scheduled maintenance utility which is set to wake the notebook up to perform some task or other. Perhaps investigate whether you have any virus scanners, defragmenters, cache cleaners, that sort of thing set to do scheduled scans or whatever?
