Does Sony offer SZ notebook with black palmrest? I want to buy the Japanese version (SZ92).

The one at the bottom left hand corner has black keyboard with black palmrest but it looks like the palmrest is not really black. More like dark grey or something.

There is no 'black' palmrest option.

The Premium SZs however have a 'gun-metal' grey finish.

I know this probably doesn't help you much, but if you really need a black palmrest on your next notebook, other brands offer them.

"If you want a better notebook, there are other brands" :p

Anyway, I believe that may just be a trick of the light that deceives your eyes.

As strange as it may sound, probably the biggest factor I'd rather get the premium over the non premium is for that reason alone. I just don't like the silver palm rest and would have preferred a natural black color similar to the rest of the notebook. But the premium's "charcoal black" is close enough for me.
