With the SZ model turning almost two years old now (I think), does anybody know if they are going to release a new notebook this size with a better video card? I like the smallness of the 12in, but I want a faster video card to play my games while on the go. If the laptop weighed me, I would be ok with that if it gave more battery too.

It's pretty tough to squeeze dedicated graphics into a 13.3 package--I'm impressed that Sony was able to push a 7400 into the SZ. That said, technology is always getting better, cheaper, and smaller so eventually you'll probably find what you're looking for but I would not hold my breath. If you are willing to jump to a 14.1" notebook your graphics possibilities bloom.

I think the 7400 is the most powerful graphics card in a sub 14in notebook right now. Besides, a better graphics card will kill battery life and generate substantial amounts of heat

Yes it would but if there was a redesign of the sz, having a larger battery with a better fan would fix that issue. The idea is to have a small gaming notebook. Not even Alienware has a notebook like that.
