As you all problably know Sony recently introduced the C series which offers very similar configurations to the SZ. After reading this article:

I am wondering how similar the internals of the two machines are. I mean if the japanese version can sport the Nvidia card, i am wondering if the motherboards on these two machines are the exact same...one not having the extra gpu soldered on? Would be nice to see the inside of a C.

I think that the C series is a far more solidly built lappy than the SZ. No bottom plasticky feel at all. And the textured surface is very cool. I'm sure that they're pretty close in architecture too.
That said, I'm returning my SZ360 because I think that C series and the new Macbook C2 Duo represent far better values. I just played with one tonight and I thought it was awesome. -
Ubercool, I have pretty much been focusing on you replies. You are like a big brother to me
. But, I am shocked to hear you are giving up an SZ premium that you just got a few days ago for a C series. What went wrong dude? or do you have another post about some "issues" that have come up with your new lappy?
Also, how does the C series screen compare to the SZ360P/C screen. I assume since the SZ is a premium it could be better than the C series. Do you think that's the case.
I can't argue with you that the C series is a better value for money but 1.37 lb heavier, slightly bigger, uses 5W more power and no NV graphics. -

The C Series is available with the Nvidia 7400 in every territory except North America. It's a far better built notebook than the SZ but it is certainly much heavier.
I have to believe that the US version of the C will be offered with the Nvidia 7400 very soon.
SZ's younger sibling?
