SZ670/Vista on the Sony base. For some reason, there is no audio in/out on the standard dock.

I'd like to get audio from the dock's USB port to a standard 3.5mm female adapter into which my desktop speakers will be plugged. That would eliminate the last hookup to the laptop while it's on the base.

Is there a way to do it?

    Thanks,

    Notaguru

You will need to use a USB DAC, such as the RSA Predator or Headamp Pico, which will completely bypass your existing on-board sound device when it's plugged in. A whole list of USB DACs is available here.
