My system is XP, and normally it does not require drivers for USB port to read Flash Drives. However, when plug into the USB ports (2 ports) the ports dont recognize the device, and open System Device it show question marks yellow on USB ports.

My USB mouse is working perfectly.

Pls help me to resove this problem. Thanks

Hmm...try searching up the problem in google. I bet they give you a lot of results.

But I would try to look up maybe some kind of drivers or try another USB slot. Also try uninstalling it again and plug it back in.

Thank for your information. I have seen many people have the same problem, but no solution.
Also I have found this news from MS, but they dont provide hotfix to dowload http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;892050#appliesto

I also have the same problem.

One of my really old 256 MB flash drive doesn't work on SZ. I can't seem to fix it so I just use my iPod to transfer files.

Have you tried with other new flash drives? My SZ does not recognize any flash drives, but USB Mouse is OK.
Anybody else is facing the same problem may read this information from MS, but cannot download the hotfix

same problem for me on my SZ too. The stupid thing is I was annoyed by this problem on my last Vaio (FJ170) and couldn't fix it so I got this laptop and now I have to still deal with the same problem.
