So I plunged myself into getting a SZ340P4. Now I normally could careless about user-error damages since I consider myself above your typical consumer, plus working as a tech helps too, but what is the reputation with the SZ?

I've read something in relation to shock (due to SZ coming with 2 prongs rather than 3). Any known LCD problems (my biggest fear). Overheating, body casing prone to cracking/breaking, etc?

I have 50 days if I want to purchase an extended warranty. It's a FIVE year plan for $185. It is covered by a group called VAC Service Corp, which I could find no information about. Their terms are,

Should I steer clear or take the 2nd plunge and buy the warranty? Also, I'm sorry to barge into the forum with a single post while requesting alot. It's just that I felt like I was on top of the world when I purchased my 2nd notebook (with my own money too :D) and I'm going through a different phase of buyers remorse when it comes to protecting my purchase. My first notebook was a Compaq which I eventually sold to my brother with an extended warranty that I feel was useless.

    Any suggestions?

    :( Bump

Is the SZ solid or flimsy as a notebook. And no I don't plan on taking it everywhere I go, mostly on a desk. (School and Home)

I'll be taking mine everywhere and using it constantly... if someone can wear it out then it'll be me. Seems like all of my laptops end up with wear marks that look like hand imprints and you can definately see where I hit certain keys such as the spacebar (the far right end is definately worn out more than the left).

Wearing out laptops for 15 years...
