    Hello evreyone.
I get a problem when switching to stamina mode with my SZ1 with windows XPSP2 and all driver and bios updates from sony.
Here is how it goes :
Internet security doesn't load. With the wireless switch to off, the wifi connection starts, an instance of microsoft office installation starts. Then the computer freezes and impossible to shut it down.
System is working ok ("my safe" has disapeared...) in speed mode.
Does someone has a clue ?
I got a message from sony advising me to reinstall the system :(
Thanks and have a good day.
    Cheers from Paris.

sometimes Windows gets so messed up that a reinstallation is the only thing that will fix it. i've had to reinstall Windows 98/ME/XP probably 20 times in the last 8 years on various computers for various people who needed help

    Hi, night, thanks for feedback.
If this problem was happening only on all modes, I would have done the reinstall with no doubt. But the fact that it is only happening in stamina mode is puzzeling me.

    Hi Legros,

I've a sz1/xp and I've severe problems in stamina mode. I've random bosd (blue screen's drivers errors). I reported this to sony and they advised me to reinstall the system too.

Then, I reinstalled my system and worked fine. But when I intalled netscreen remote (vpn) and Kaspersky internet security, returned stamina mode problems (bosd) again :(

I've all updates of sony sz1/xp installed, inclusively the last bios. But stamina mode with Kaspersky with netscreen-remote cocktail crash my system randomly.

    What can we do?

    Have a good day.

    Hï Pingu,
    thanks for feedback.

So this seems not to be a harware problem...
It seems to have something to do with communication, for I have this mailwasher soft (downloads header of emails and check vs spammer databases) reporting errors, and this selft starting internet connection behavior.
Troubleshooting this would take ages, so I guess, I'll do without stamina mode.

Did you try to uninstall Kaspersky internet security ?
Did you report the problem to Kapersky ?

    Thanks.

    Hi Legros,

Uninstalling only Kaspersky is stable like rock (stamina mode), uninstalling only netscreen-remote is stable like a rock (stamina mode), and working in speed mode with all the other software installed is stable like a rock.

I believe that is a driver conflict between Intel video, netscreen virtual drivers and something of the kaspersky soft, but I can't find a workaround to fix it.

I can't report to Kaspersky because I've the trying version. Also if I work with gforce video card or uninstalling netscreen-remote vpn, work fine... ?¿?¿:-(

Are you using some of these softwares like Kasper, netscreen ...?

    Regards.
