It's been a month since I own my SZ120P/B now! I'm totally impressed with the quality build and performance of the SZ. I was a Toshiba fan and owned several Toshibas notebooks. But, Toshiba products now look plain to me except the Qosmio product line. But, I was in need of a smaller notebook. I love my SZ120P!

    Positive Review:
    1. No vent underneath so you're free to put your notebook on top of your dirty carpet or bed without overheating it!
    2. The fan run very smooth, I can hardly hear mine!
    3. The standard battery last around 3hrs (Greatest battery life for a notebook I've ever own)
    4. It's razor thin and light!
    5. Love the magnesium casing and color!
    6. I've been waiting for a notebook with a dedicated video card in awhile and Sony has answered my prayer! The hybrid system allows me to have longer battery life when I'm traveling and not need the powerful graphics. I call it... CLEVER!
    7. No light leakage on the screen nor dead pixels
    8. Fully loaded (built-in camera & mic, bluetooth, finger scanner)
    9. Awesome build quality & still Made in Japan
    10. Would buy or upgrade to Sony again if this the kind of quality I will get in the future!

    Need to Improve:
    1. The keyboard feels a bit awkward but get used to it after awhile.
    2. Might need a little use of brighter screen! I own a Toshiba A75 and the screen is way brighter and crispier than my SZ. I noticed Toshibas use better screen than my SZ.
    3. My battery a bit wobbly. I am trying to figure out what's a good padding to fill up the gap between the battery pack and the chassis.
    4. Might be useful if I have more USB port! At least 3 or 4 (1 Printer, 1 Ext HDD, 1 Wireless Mouse).

P.S. I think Sony forgot to install a screen lock for my notebook! Is it just mine or everybody? :D

Not sure that's 100% true. There appears to be at least one vent acting as an intake on the underside of the notebook, so it still may not be a good idea to completely obstruct it.

No, they didn't forget it. The screen is held closed by tension rather than a latch. They're all like that.

OK, this is an update to my review. I'm experiencing several problems with my SZ:
    1. Battery pack kinda wobbly (not a biggy)
    2. Spacebar can hardly functioning when it's pressed
    3. Feel a current running on my palm rest when it's on ac adaptor
    4. I can hear high pitch noise distorsion on my earphone when it's on ac adaptor.

Problem no.3 & 4 probably due to poor grounding!

Since youre posting just your thoughts I won't rag on yu that your problems 1-4 is already in other posts. But they are all issues. some can be fixed like the spacebar and batterypack.

OK, I'll show you guys how i fixed the spacebar and batterypack problem including materials I used. I'm an Engineer, so I love to do this  Will post the update as soon as I figured out more solutions. Good luck!

    spacebarfix.jpg
For the insensitive spacebar fixed with 3M command strips for hooks. The reason i used this is because the thickness is so perfect.

    wobblybatteryfix.jpg
For the wobbly batterypack problem solved with the scotch reclosable fasterners (velcro). I cut it into 1/4 and attached each one on each side.

Sorry about the shaky pics. Should get a camera with Image Stabilized thingy :p
