    Hi!

I've mentioned in my task manager that there is only one core shown - under xp there where two of them! Is this a bug?

If you have XP Home Edition, it will show only one core even if you have dual core CPU.

I have the same problem with my VGN-SZ330P, and posted the issue in another thread. Let me know if you find a solution and I'll do same. Cheers!

Have you tried installing the Intel 945GM Chipset drivers from Intel's website? That's the first step I did before installing anything else.

    Problem Solved!

Yes, I had installed the 945GM drivers from Intel and that didn't help, but I installed the latest BIOS update from Sony and that worked! Now both cores are humming along fine. SirRobin, give that a try and see if it works for you.

I had this problem a few weeks ago, where only one core was showing up. What I did was reset the BIOS to default settings and it fixed it. It seems that one of the cores was disabled when I reset the TPM in the BIOS. Which seemed a little strange. Drove me mad for two days. Glad ye got it working anyway.
