I'm confused that my new intel postville ssd is so slow on my vaio.

The sata chip is a ich7-M and according to 50% of what I find on the web it is a SATA-300 controller. The other half says that the *M* ist just-150.
Certainly I want to believe the better but the transfer rate of about 115MB/s says differently however I'm running the controller in AHCI mode.

Here is my question: Is anyone aware of a hack (similar to the BIOS hack to enable AHCI) to get the full SATA-300 speed?
