I purchased this laptop from Sony in July of 2006. In ealy December of 2006, my first battery just died without warning. The battery life never dropped, it just died unexpectedly. I hardly ever used the laptop just on battery power. I'd say that about 1/50 times I used my laptop it was on battery power.

I called sony and they replaced the battery under warranty. Now today, the same thing has happened. I used it about a week ago on battery power and the battery lasted 2.5 hours, just like new. Again, I hardly ever used the battery.

Has anyone had similar issues? I am out of warranty and I doubt Sony will replace it again.
