    SZ2hp bios not updating?

    i have performed a clean install of vista onto my laptop and i need to update the bios!

    The update i have downloaded from sony for my specific model isnt working, has anyone had this problem before. thanks in advance

    You need to make sure the following DRIVERS are installed:
    - Sony Notebook Control / Sony Firmware Extension Parser
    - Sony Programmable I/O Control Device

    Then you also need to install the Sony Utilities DLLs and Sony Shared Library. After that the BIOS update should work.
