    Hi all,

I noticed a strange fact with my sony vaio.
I installed AeroAio theme for SuperKaramba. As probably many people know it shows CPU frequency. Sometimes I read "CPU Frequency: 1000 Mhz" ... I don't know why, but sometimes, instead I red "CPU Frequency: 2000 Mhz". What's appening? My CPU is an Intel Core 2 duo @ 2.0Ghz.
I want to know what does it depends from. Why, sometimes it shows 1 Ghz instead of 2 Ghz?

    Thanks.

Mobile CPU's throttle frequencies to reduce power consumption on low usage or idle. You can adjust how this is handled in Sony's Power Management utility.

The T2500 is automatically clock down to save power, and to give out much less heat. It is something that all Intel Core Duo and Core 2 Duo processors do, and its nothing to be concerned about. It automatically raises the clock speed whenever a heavy load is put on it, so that it can complete the task much faster.

    I begun an
    Code:
    emerge -uDN world
    on my Gentoo Linux.
CPU Frequency doesn't seem to increase up to 2000Mhz.
CPU Frequency scaling is a good thing; in fact I compiled CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y as built in. Anyway I don't understand why it doesn't go @2,0Ghz.

    EDIT: now! I'm surprised! O_O
I hear CPU Fan running faster... CPU frequency is now 2000Mhz... Why???? I'm not doing any compilation process. Nothing of "CPU bound".
