    Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my SZ330P. Recently I noticed that it does not hold charge. For example: I charge it to 100%, turn it off and when I turn it back on a few hours/days later the charge will drop to 50-60% I do no think that it is normal. I contacted sony, and sent the computer in for repairs. They did not do anything, I received it back with the same problem. They did not even change the battery. I requested a new battery (went through hell to get a replacement) Charged and discharged the new battery a couple of times and finally charged it to 100% two days ago, and turned the computer off. Today I turned it back on, and guess what? the battery showed 53%. Did anyone have the same problem? Should I send the computer in for repairs again? Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Charge it up, shut the lappy down, yank the battery. Wait a day or whatever, then put it back in. You'll be able to tell if the issue is normal for the battery or if the lappy is using the battery when shut down.

All batteries lose charge over time, but 47% in 48 hours is excessive if the machine is indeed fully shut down. Almost seems like you are hybrid sleeping.

Maybe try install "Notebook Hardware Control" and under the battery you can see the wear level %. Maybe your battery is really dead already.
