    Dos anyone have the link for the DELL ALPS driver that allows the touch-pad to be turned on and off. Thanks in advance.

    I used the DELL ALPS driver as recommended by DLWOODJR. It worked like a charm. Places a touchpad icon in the system tray that allows you to disable the touchpad when you are using an external mouse.
