    Hi daz2k,

Thanks for your reply, but, as i said in my 1st post, I wasn't able to install Sony's Vista driver. So, I can't remove any driver (never installed one).
I don't have any camera at device manager; only an exclamation and a "Unknown Device".

    Regards.

I was able to install the Sony driver for the camera on my CR520. It installed "properly", but when I try to use it I just a black image. The green light is lit though...

The SZ webcam drivers aren't included in XP or Vista so I guess they also aren't in Win7.

What error message do you see when you try to install the Vista driver? If the message says the OS or model is not supported then use Universal Extractor to get to the driver anddo a manual install.

I had installed the Ricoh camera driver in my FZ with Windows 7 64-bit by extracting the original driver for my model thru Uniextract software.

    Hi,

Mujja, the error isn’t very informative: "installation failed". Simple as that...

coolguy, I've try the extraction method too. I extract 5 files (DPInst.exe, Install.bat, sonyimgf.cat, SonyImgF.inf and SonyImgF.sys) to a temp dir. Then, at device manager, I select the Unknown Device, right click it, update driver and point to the same dir from these files. The answerer was "Windows could not find driver software for your device".

    Regards.

With the other VAIOs, including mine, rolling back the driver did the trick.

    Hi mbslrm,
I have the VGN-CR520D too and when i installed windows 7 64 bit several of my drivers including the camera, touch pad, some keyboard buttons and the mic and probably others were not working. I can t roll my drivers back since none were installed, do you have any ideas on how i can get it to work???

    thx
