I have searched these forums but can not find the software I need to solve some problems. The old download links no longer work so please forgive me.

    Biggest Problems
1:Fan never shuts off. Battery power or ac power
    2. XP will not go into standy hibernate
    3. Cusor jumps around when typing. I had to type this several times.

Where can I get Sony Advanced Power Management? Links on this board are dead.

    Thanks.

Make sure you head to esupport.sony.com and just download the official drivers for everything. It will make you life easier.

I have, but I am not aware of any keyboard driver and there is no APM software to download for my model.

Make sure you are installing the Motherboard, and the Sony Notebook Control and finally the System components. That should help the fan and the shutdown problems.

As for the cursor jumping around, most likely you are slightly brushing the touchpad as you are typing and it's sensitivity is set to high. Installing the touchpad driver and control from the site will help fix this problem, and allow you to adjust the sensitivity.

I seem to have most things worked out, but still have a couple of problems.

I am still experiencing crashing when I close my lid.

I don't believe the fan control is working in the Vaio APM. It doesn't seem to make a difference if I have it set to 1 or 7 when the laptop is plugged.

Yes I can't install this patch because it says the service pack installed is newer than the program.
