I'm sure this has already been discussed in this forum, so please bear with me. I'm considering buying a Vaio SZ, and would like to know the primary differences between the SZ340 and the SZ390. The difference in base price between these two models is nearly $800, so I'm curious if it's worth the worth the extra money.

If this has already been discussed, and you could provide me with the forum link, I would appreciate it. If not, please share your thoughts. Thanks!

I have the same doubt, but I think the difference is: sz390 is premium notebook, and has razor-thin panel and carbon case (ligth); and sz340 has a magnesium case.

    .4 lbs lighter

    4.1 for the regular magnesium
3.7 for the carbon fiber case and thinner display
