Here's a quick scenario to explain my issue.

I use the laptop in stamina mode while plugged in for about 6 hours while at the office. I shut down the laptop normally (the battery meter says charged: 100%) and head home. During the night, I dont use the laptop at all. I get to work the next day and fire up my laptop, still in stamina mode, and run on the battery. Upon booting into windows, my battery meter now says 87%. I haven't used the machine for about 15 hours and now I have 13% less battery? I'm not using standby or hibernate when I shut down... this is a full shut down and power off. Anyone else have this issue?

    Thanks in advance,
    AuxNuke

I was wondering the same thing with my FE790, except mine doesn't drop as much as yours. My FE will be at 100% right before bed -- and when I wake up in the morning it usually hangs around 95-98% charged.

I too do a full system shutdown.

I used to have the same problem with my Sony Vaio S360 (i.e. the battery would drain even during a full shutdown). Sony's advice to me was to remove the battery when it wasn't in use.

Since I like to use hibernate I just left it in anyway and dealt with the battery drain.

But that's rediculous. I've had 4 previous laptops and none "used" the battery while off. Did they offer a battery exchange or at least to look at the laptop?

They all will loose battery charge. Lithium-Ion battery will loose charge over time.
Now 13% in one night when the computer is totally off isn't normal

No, they just said it was normal behavior and gave me the advice to remove the battery when the laptop wasn't in use. I had read of some similar experiences with other S-series owners, so I basically just accepted it.

Note this was a while ago (this was an S360 after all). Perhaps they have a solution for it now?
