I would like the premie if possible but not sure about the SZ390 CTO since the specs lists 4.07 lbs whereas all the other premies are at 3.72 lbs (eg 381P/X, 370P/C and 360P/C). Can someone enlighten me on this situation.

It is not that I am worried about weight but just that I want a premie. That's all.

Also, the sony learning site mentions the SZ390PW1 which I take to mean a "Pre-Configured" model. Is the latter a 3.72 lbs version whereas as the CTO is not?

    Thanks.

I would say you're correct. The difference in weight you describe is between the non-premium and premium screen models.

You'd probably get a faster answer shooting an e-mail to SonyStyle about this. No one was able to confirm this the last time it was brought up here

To MY understanding (not having purchased one), the 390 is supposed to be a premium model, as it makes sense to have two types of CTOs: A premium version (the 390) and a non premium (340). Hence the 390 costing a lot more than the 340 to begin with. However, why the 390 is listed as having non premium weight is something I don't know the answer to as *it does* state it comes with the regular carbon material found in other regular premium models and not the heavier magnesium alloy material found in non premiums. -- Which leads me to believe that the CTO may in fact be a pseudo-premium, or there's a typo error in their specs.

Thanks guys. I think you are correct in that the best answer would be to contact Sony directly on this. Probably as Die states, a typo or pseudo-premium version. Thanks again.

340 and below is non-premium, 360 and above are all premium models.
