    SZ4 unable to see video clips

    I v=cannot se video clips using my new Vaio SZ4 with Vista Business - the files are in avi tyoe and are only simple video clips without audio. All I see is a black screen when it plays with Media Player. I tried loading some codecs which I paid for from Sonic but no difference - any idea what to do as previously I could run these same video clips on XP with Media Player and also on an Apple Macbook with OSX with Quicktime ?
    I have latest updates to Sony and Vista runnng automaticlly ?
