I accidentally broke my Flat Flex Cable and I'm not able to hear any sound. Please help me find a replacement cable fast. I've been searching around on the internet and still no luck. Here's what I can read from the cable AWM E41447-HWCS 80C 60V 20624 VW-1 .

I'm about to buy the same part [E41447-HWCS] from Sony for my SZ440, but I just wanted to comment that my cable *ALSO* has a screw hole through it (thanks for the pictures) and now I don't have sound. It's an extremely stupid layout to have a screw and a cable in the same place, and I know for certain it's not my fault that the screw hole is there. I've been happy with this laptop, but now I've opened it up and seen this. Unacceptable.

i am too have a hole in my SZ440 :( . If you guys bought the right cable, please confirm it. As i can see, the cable has 14pin but sony link says 12pin...

does it work or not? and yes, this laptop must be the worst design i ever seen. Wait until you guys change the fan. you need to remove LCD, motherboard, cd, i mean almost everything just to get the fan. Sony can not design laptop, period!
