I'm really new to this stuff, all I've ever done involving OS was reinstalling it and just installing the drivers but those drivers came on a CD so I'm really lost with this.

Anyways, the SZ450 as most know comes with Business and I have a copy of Enterprise(corporate version of Ultimate?) from my dad as well as a copy of Home. I'd like to do a clean install to Home or Enterprise but the threads I've been reading go from Vista to XP or just reinstalling the same version but clean. Is there a way I could change versions without having to go through all the driver hunting?

I go through thread after thread and I find everyone that does a full clean is having a variety of problems in each thread so I'm quite confused as to what to do. Then there are the 2 threads using the 'half clean' install which I might consider but I'd like to have home installed if I could. Is there a big difference between home and business though, I mainly just use it for the net, music and some lite gaming.

Hmmm, I had some other questions but my minds being a bit of a prick right now...bleh I'll have to come back -__-

    Thanks in advance!

I would stick to Business if you don't need the Media Center functionality. If you do need Media Center, however, then you can downgrade to Home Premium.

Vista Enterprise is basically Vista Business plus Bitlocker.

Alright, I'll just stick with business then. Sorry about that, I'm a bit stressed with school and work lol so I go on in a jumble. I was just a bit annoyed Sony didn't give the choice of having Home or Business and I thought they had quite a bit of difference between them. Whats in the media center?

One more question, the version we get with the SZ450 is 64bit? I heard theres quite a mess with them right now with the lack of driver support, is there a big difference between 64bit and 32bit versions of Vista right now since Vista is pretty held back compared to XP?

I'd like to downgrade to XP but as of now there doesnt seem to be anyone who has done it and has 100% functionality with the features.

    Thanks again guys
