SO i have the SOny Vaio sz480 with vista business.

i plug in an additional monitor (Dell 17inch flat panel) to the vga connector and run it as a secondary monitor, an extension of my laptop.

i keep the monitor on the left and my computer to the right.

i configure the display properties to reflect that as well so the mouse moves seamlessly over to the second monitor.

however, every single time the notebook reboots or returns from hibernation the secondary monitor reverts back to as if it were on the right side.

Has anyone seen this weird error?

I know that XP saves the monitor location settings automatically.. am i missing something?

    thanks

I use dual screen as well with my SZ4/Vista Business, but not tried to boot with it so I don't know whether mine has the problem or not.

But I probably guess, its' either a Vista problem (most probable) or a graphics driver issue. Don't think there's anything you've done wrong though.
