I know I've seen a thread about this but can't find it. Anyone else's keyboard respond slowly? If I type quickly, which I do, many letters are missed. It's not predictable but it is regular.

This is wha i loks like if I type to fast ad the keys can't catch up. It's pretty annoying and I think it has to do with processor capacity as it gets worse when the CPU is near maxed. However, it doesn't need to be running hard for it to happen. Any ideas?

I hadn't heard of this issue ---- I don't think I've ever noticed it on my SZ360. Particular to the 4XX series?

Our SZ140 (non-premium) has no keyboard issues although the keys do feel significantly different. The PC in question is a SZ460.

It is a persistent, yet unpredictable problem on my SZ430 and a friend's SZ440. I attributed it once to not hitting certain keys "hard enough" when typing fast (also the silicon keyboard cover I use may be contributing to this and the fact that I'm still getting use to the amount of finger travel I need to reach these bigger keys on the SZ).

Is there a keyboard sensitivity setting I'm missing? In the Vista Keyboard Control Panel applet, I only see settings for repeat rate.

Exactly. It's like you need to type harder, but that's not it. The sensitivity is weird.

Not to sidetrack ---- feel different how? I'm curious.

While the keys on the SZ4 premium are stiff, they don't feel solid at the bottom as much as the SZ1 standard. They feel more cushioned at the end stroke and maybe that's part of the problem.

There was definitely a difference between the keys on the SZ340 I used to have and my current SZ360 (non-premium versus premium). The keys on the 340 were VERY flexy ---- the keys on the 360 are much, much better, less flexy, etc.

I always attributed this to the difference between standard-build VAIOs (like the 360) and the CTO ones. Curious!
