I was just wondering if it is possible to use a Penryn CPU in the SZ6 models? ie. t9xxx or X9xxx.

It should work. Although the Penryn T8xxx series offers the best price\performance ratio ;)

    Actually none,right now.
I put that previous post shortly after replacement, when noticed some tendency to overheat due to new cpu,I thought.
After a bit more thermal paste was applied, everything went back to proper state.
So sorry for the little mess.

It's good to know! I was concerned when I read this article saying that the Penryn (T8xxx and T9xxx) CPUs won't work on the Santa Rosa chipset.
