I just returned the TZ because I was barely able to run any programs and traded it in for the SZ650. I have it on "Speed" rather than "Stamina." But I notice that the colors look a little washed out, especially when compared to Sony's other computers. The Nvidia won't let me change settings for Digital vibrance. Is there any way to make the colors look sharper on this computer. If not, then what a bummer.

what do you mean 'it won't let you change'?

I just tried it in mine and it worked. This booted to XP. NVidia 162.5 driver and Ntune

no, in vista you cannot change the digital vibrance. It really sucks. This screen is so lowly saturated. Anybody have a link to a driver that may change it. I've tried to install different drivers from Nvidia's site and get the message, "This system is not a Windows Vista System" and it us, duh!

I also have the SZ 650 - i have not installed a new NVIDIA driver - do you guys think I should? If so, what driver should I install?

I do some gaming...right now playing Madden 2008 and SWAT 4 (although while I was playing SWAT 4 the game stopped b/c the "driver stopped working."

    Thanks a bunch.

This is going back. I loved this computer but can't stand looking at the dull screen.

www.laptopvideo2go.com. That's going to be your best bet to upgrade nVidia drivers. nVidia doesn't update mobile drivers, they leave it up to the manufacturer, who also rarely update their drivers.

Yes, laptopvideo2go has the new drivers for Vista on SZ6 that let you increase color saturation. There is a link in my other post called "How to make SZ6 screen look like TZ".
