This SZ670 (T7700, 4GB RAM, V Business with SP1) uses two video devices. The better of them is the Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS. Standard resolution is 1280 x 800, which on the LED screen is brilliant!

When the unit boots - or even when it awakens from standby - the display is sometimes at a lower resolution and I have to go through steps to correct the problem.

Is there a way to set the default properly so this issue goes away?

    Thanks!

I have an SZ2 running vista and it has had this problem (albeit briefly) when switching between speed and stamina.
I simply booted in the Speed mode and used Windows update to check for updates and installed any that appeared. Then did the same in Stamina mode and i haven't had the problem since.

If you've already tried upgrading your graphics drivers then i don't know what else you could do tbh, but if you haven't it's probably not a bad direction to take.
