As requested by Hunningolla, here are some pics of the SZ61XN/C (European SZ6). It has a Intel Core 2 Duo 2.20 Ghz, 2GB RAM, 160GB 5400 RPM HDD. More specs at the SonyStyle site.

Not really high quality, but I hope they're enough ;)

I dont know actually. I would guess aluminium, but dont know for sure.
I do know it attracts finger prints a bit more then I would have liked.

i looked through the pics again, and i have some comments-questions:
    1. There is a dvi socket on the left side, and it seems, that it protrudes too much, isn't it?
    2. What is the format of display, i mean widescreen or not, 16:9 or 4:3 ?
    3. From the top-down view it is noticable a interior of sz, near touchpad area, where two buttons face touchpad oneself. Was it decided to do so? because moisture or simply water could easily get there.

    answer to jimmy-floyd;

    1) You got VGA, firewire, mic input and headphone plug on the left. No HDMI or DVI. On the right are 2 USB, ethernet and modem inputs, dvd drive. I dont know how those ports are called where you put a card in. There's a smaller one on the right, big one on the left. Also a memory stick pro duo input on the left.
    2) It's a widescreen, 1280x800. I think 16:9 or 16:10.
    3) There is a small space between the touchpad and buttons yes, didnt even notice that at first until you said it.

Only I see at the screen is Sony instant of Vaio from the SZ4.

Question is when will Sony release SZ6XN in Sweden??
It's seems be premium like US SZ680C or SZ691C?

My suggestion is to import it from US.

A SZ6 that costs 2400 euros in Europe costs 1200 euros in US.

The only risk is warranty, but for 1200 euros i don't mind.

i see that there a lot of notebook professionals, who can give exact and accurate answers, and who just like good notebooks. it glads.
for e.t.c even in apples macbook( i can say, it is budget) there is mini-dvi.. but i dont intend to connect vaio to tv, and use dvi, vga, hdmi anyway.

I just ordered my SZ61XN/C! I fint it strange that the european SZ6-models dont have wireless draft-N. Why? Can it be easily upgraded? I hope that sony pulls out some XP downgrade drivers soon.

I know.. and dollar is very low at this moment, and there is a 25% tax at Sweden..

I had my Sz4 very long time now.. no problem at all.. not worried about the warranty.. If I get the Monday exemplar then real sucks..

I did. But i don't recommend Techonweb.com because they are so slow.

    Try Sparco.com they are quick.
