My sz GPU seems to be stuck in low performance mode when using the battery.I first noticed this in supreme commander, I will be running 10-12 FPS on the large skirmish maps when the computer is plugged in but as soon as I unplug it the FPS drop down to 5.I am also running rivatuner monitoring the gpu clock and memory speed and as soon as I unplug the power the memory and core speeds drop in half.My (battery)power options are always set to high performance, I even tried vaio optimized but it does the same exact thing.I am guessing this is a driver propblem, I am using the newest nvideo drivers from videodrivers2go.com, anyone have this problem? There must be a way to force the GPU into maximum performance mode or full power when using the battery.

    Maybe you could try

"Notebook Hardware Control" and change your performance setting there.

Your GPU is running in low performance?

    or

Your CPU is running in low performance?

The cpu is fine it's just the GPU, I will look for notebook hardware control.I have never heard of it but I guess I can google it and give it a try.
