This SZ performs brilliantly, but when I installed SP1 the headphone jack went dead for some functions.

The "computer sounds", such as beeps, work ok. Audio from DVDs and websites, however, is audible only from the coin-size speakers on the laptop.

Control Panel > Sounds > everything seems ok

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

You need an updated sound card drive most likely.

Thanks -- however, when I try to update the Driver the system can't find anything newer.
