this washed out, black and white image is what all my videos look like played through any video player (WMP, Real, QT, etc).

i've re-installed the players, the codec, did the updates for the players, etc. but i can't get the video playback to work properly. This happened a few weeks back randomly.

On a recent airplane ride I noticed that video playback works normally when I'm in stamina mode. this turns off the video card and uses the integrated graphics right? does that mean my video card is no good? i've uninstalled and reinstalled the video card driver already as well.

    please help.

Sounds like graphic driver video settings are bad, decoding software won't matter.
    On my laptop:
NVIDIA control panel->Video & Television->Adjust video color settings: brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, gamma etc.

thanks for the suggestion. i tried to play around with the settings and it appears to be getting better. for some reason everything was set to 0%

can anyone post the settings to their default setting?
