    Hi everyone,

I am debating about this.. any comments and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

    I currently have a Dell M1330 T7500, 3GB, 200GB HD, 13.3 LED, 8400M GS 128MB. 4 yrs warranty

    I saw a great deal on a SZ730 T8100, 2GB, 200GB HD, 13.3 LED, 8400M GS 64MB (what are they thinking). 1 year warranty - $1400

The specs are relatively similar. However, I have long been a fan of the Vaio SZ. I loved my S260P before I replaced it with the M1330. Do you guys think it is a worthwhile swap?

Newegg has that same Sony Vaio for $1400 with a free 16GB Ipod but no warranty, although you can choose one if you like.

Personally I don't think it is worth it. Stick with your Dell. Who knows, maybe with Montevina we will see a slimmer SZ.

Spend a little more and get the M1330 with the LED screen. That and the warranty are a good deal, IMHO.

I don't think you move is economical. I would keep Dell if I were you. The final decision is your since it is your money.

I prefer Sony's look and feel.
However, Dell gives you better specs for the money. And also an HDMI port on the M1330 I think.
So, up to you. They're both nice machines.

Not worth the effort now to be honest, but you should have got an SZ in first place.

I totally agreed. I got my M1330 on a insane deal. At the time, similar configured SZ would have been at least $600 ~ $700 more. Therefore, it is really a no brainer at the time. I am able to sell my M1330 for what I bought it for. I am just wondering if I should switch...

I second silent h3ro's suggestion. Wait until the Fall for Montevina. I would speculate soon, we'll start hearing about SZ redesign or maybe a model replacement.
