    Hi There!

I have not had good luck with my SZ series notebooks in that the first one stopped responding to touch properly, and this one the left button needs quite firm presses to work correctly.

Is it possible to replace or fix just that one component or is it an assembly including the right button and the trackpad as well? Does anyone know the part number and where I might be able to find it along with a guide for replacing it?

    Thanks in Advance.

I've dismantled my SZ a few times, including touchpad (to insulate it from palmrest). After that I had some problems with clicking and to fix it i had to adjust a few screws - they were screwed too tightly. You might give it a shot as well.

It's not very complex to get to the trackpad, though you do need a thin screwdriver and a pretty small Phillips screwdriver. It's a total of 7 screws.

Search out a guide to dissassemble, in the owners lounge is a thread with links, one I think has the factory guide.

You may have a loose connection or screws that need adjusting. Maybe even a new pad, but they aren't that expensive on Ebay.
