This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    SZ780 XP Wifi problem

    Hey all,

    I just downgraded my SZ780 to XP-Pro. Everything worked fine except the driver on the Sony site for the Intel Pro wifi. I simply went to the Intel site and found the driver there.

    I installed the driver and the wifi worked fine. However, after I downloaded and installed IE 7.0, all of a sudden the wifi did not work, and wouldn't find any wifi networks when searching (there is about 7 in my area).

    Any ideas? I restored back to before my IE 7.0 install, but nothing still.
