    "Sony Vaio SZ90
The SZ90 features an Intel Core Duo 2.16GHz processor, Carbon-fiber casing,DVD±RW, and 120GB of storage space, all at 3.73 lbs. "

Dynamsim is now bringing in this model. This must mean the 180/170 is now in prodction. Firday, the SOny rep I spoke to, siad the 170/180 would not be release until Christmas (if even then). Anyone have a better sense of what is really going on?

I guess I'm not seeing the connection between Dynamsim / GeekStuff4U middle-manning the SZ90 from .jp and the production/release of the 180/170.

What's one got to do with the other?

Dynamism will ship you the SZ80 but they said two weeks ago that there was a three week lead time because Sony JP had problems gettting enought BT devices for it. I think they'll be a few hundred USD mark up on it for the transportation etc. No language convertion is needed - You can order the SZ on Sony JPs website with an English QWERTY keyboard.

However, I think Sony US will release the same spec unit as the SZ180 in the ROW (rest of the world) within a few monthes. Of course, there will be some delays.

I think there is a difference between the JP and ROW specs, which is the Felica port - I don't know if the ROW models will have this feature because I don't think they're used elsewhere.

The SZ80 configuration has been in production at least since last Jan, in Japan at least, because I could order it from their website.
