Hello - I've recently received a Sony Vaio CW and are interested to gather information concerning temperatures.
It's the earlier 2.13GHz Core 2 Duo model with GT 230m graphics.
Having installed overclocking software I'm able to alter the operating frequency of the cards and using 3dMark06 have scored:
Downclocked : 4479
Overclocked : 7066
During further tests (Reverting back to stock clocks) I've noticed that the operating temperatures are considerably higher than my previous laptop.
IDLE
Core #0 55'C
Core #1 54'C
GPU 46'C
LOAD
Core #0 81'C
Core #1 80'C
GPU 77'C
Basically, what's the consensus on these temps?
Are they too high?
-
Bump!
Any thoughts or suggestions....at all? -
They're fine, you don't need to start worrying until they start peaking at over 90 or if it's constantly running at 80s. 3DMark isn't the best way to stress test though, because.. well.. it doesn't stress.
Try Prime95 + Furmark to get a true reading on what temps it could potentially reach.
