    What was it?
I really loved the feel of it. The frame and palmrests were textured

That looks identical to my VGN-NS110E\W system.

My only issue is I can't downgrade to Windows XP... the wireless refuses to connect to anything at all.

Everything else installs just fine, but no matter what I try or do, the wireless is dead. Directly connecting to my router works fine, and when I added a buddy's D-Link DWA-652 Express card it worked fine.

It's not like Vista really kills the system (I have bumped up the ram to 4GB), I just feel the hardware is better suited for an XP install.

Oh and the palm rests are great textured. Great feel to the entire laptop..

I have tried all those drivers, and none enable the wireless, or should I say allow it to connect to anything.

I have the Atheros wireless card in mine, and those drivers are for the Intel chipset.

Oddly I have a PCI-E Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN that I previously used for my Dell XPS, but I can't see to find where I would put it in this Sony. The only openable space on the back is for memory.
