So I got a scratch on the 13.3 touchscreen on my Sony Vaio T13. Is there any ideas on how I can buff it out? Maybe this stuff called Displex:

Amazon.com: Displex Display Scratch Remover: Cell Phones & Accessories

Or does anyone know if the top-layer of the T13 touch-screen is separate from the actual LCD touchscreen? And if so, is it removable? Thanks in advance for any tips.

Definitely do not try and buff out the scratch - you'll end up with microscratches and cloudiness. If it bothers you much, add a screen protector, that will help hide the scratch.

Displex Display Scratch Remover Product Description:
"Polish the scratched areas with heavy pressure for 2-3 minutes"

Something doesn't sound right about polish with "heavy pressure"

With a few exceptions, Windows 8 - The OS with a split personality.

Touch in Microsoft Windows 8 takes users to a magical place–one where Up Is Down–Down Is Up:

Do not touch, push or rub the surface of the LCD Right? Wrong...
Windows 8 not only encourages you, it handycaps you if you don't. The result is scratched screen. Their response is "its normal wear and tear".

Notwithstanding, laptops were never designed for "touch" even with reinforced hinges.

Don’t see what I mean? We'll look back in a year’s time and wonder what on earth all those crazy Window Tiles were about.
