When ever I set my Sony Vaio VGN-NR420D notebook to minimum brightness the whole screen turns black. The only way I can get the screen to work again is to restart the whole computer.

Is there any way to fix this? Are there other ways to turn the screen back on without having to restart? I tried increasing the brightness using the FN key but the screen remains black.

Would you share your system environment as far as OS and drivers concern?

Is this an ongoing issue? Or just happening? What have you tried to correct the issue?

    cheers ...
