This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Should first explain I am a laptop virgin so please excuse what is probably a stupid question. Just got my FE31Z, can't get past the Vaio introduction bit. Says I must click on an icon on the desktop to register but there is no desktop, just a blank screen behing the introduction window. The help question mark just comes up with 'hide' and 'close menu'. Where is my Windows desktop?

    Being a complete novice was disappointed there was no User Guide, I am guessing this is all online now?

    Help/advice much appreciated.
