Right, so my GeForce 7400 Go comes with 64 MB built in memory, and shared about 256 MB of RAM from the system.

That's with the default driver from SONY or Microsoft.

But when I install the laptopvideo2go hacked drivers, and reboot, in the advanced settings of the display I can notive that now the shared memory the GeForce 7400 is using is now 1000 MB instead of 256 MB.

    1) What gives?

    2) When 1000 MB out of the RAM is shared, does that mean that right now I am operating at 2 GB? or does it mean it is just shared when needed? coz the properties still says I have 3 GB of System RAM. Someone please explain this in detail.

It's only shares whatever's available. If the RAM is needed, it's pulled from the shared video.
