    I will be buying the Z sometime today or tomorrow (hopefully) but needed it before september 1st (university). I was wondering of sony style in canada offers anything like next day shipping or some type of better/faster shipping for extra $? I will be out of town and I will need it for the begining of the school year, so Im gonna need to pay extra money to get it delivered asap, but dont know if its possible.

    they do not offer next say shipping, but they do offer faster shipping for an extra 40$, i dont know if the price is 40$ across the board.
    i think the fast shipping is 2-3 days or something but do not quote me on it

    2-3 days is fine, way better than 2-3 weeks.
    Where do I choose this option? I'm using CTO canadian website and I cant find it, and have gone all the way to checkout and shipping/billing...

    when i ordered my CTO FW, if i remember correctly you pick your shipping method when your in Step 3 : Review and Purchase.
    you pick at the same time when you have the option of entering a coupon code
    EDIT: its one of the last things you do when you are making your order, you shouldn't miss it

    Granted im in the USA, but i order my Vaio CTO on a sunday, it was the 17th, and so far, ive recieved my case, my mouse is coming tommorow, and my laptop is gonna be in on monday! All of this is with STANDARD shipping from California all the way to Massachusetts(from ordering the cto to it being in my hands will take a total of 6 business days..if you include day of delivery).

    So even the standard free shipping is pretty solid, if you order a pre-conigured model, im sure it would come even quicker. so i'm not quite sure the extra $$$ is worth it to get expedited shipping, but to each his own

    I ordered my custom Vaio SR from a SonyStyle store in Canada (Toronto) - with regards to shipping.. the express option (+40$) guarantees that your notebook will arrive at latest 6 days after it has been shipped.

    For example, if you ordered a custom Vaio FW today (August 21), they will ship your notebook on August 29th (according to sony.ca). Therefore, with express shipping selected, your notebook will arrive no later than September 4th.

    ah ok. Well if I get the P8400 in the Z, shipping date is august 29th. I need this asap as I start school the 1st of september. Should I get the express or will it arrive pretty much the same day with standard?

    i ordered my FW on Aug 10th and the estimated shipping date was aug 20th, my FW arrived at my front door in waterloo ontario from CAL on Aug 19th at 11:30am,
    i ordered my laptop, 1 1/2 days for processing, 1 1/2 for shipping 1 day for shipping and then i got my tracking #, on the fedex site the estimated arrival was the 19th. So, with you uber shipping i think it should reach your door in no time.
