    Hello,

    I just purchased a Sony 11.1 Vgn-TXN27N With:
Core solo U1500 processers running at 1.3ghz
    2GB RAM
    100GB HD

I do not have any programs that can not run on Vista but my question is IF I downgrade to XP will it make the computer run better than what it will do running VISTA, and if so is it a big difference (mainly battery life). Any and all help is helpful.

Funny you should mention that. I have the same computer. I got tired of the randomness of Vista and the slow speed of everything. I installed XP and followed the thread to load the drivers and utilities. Everything works as it should and the computer is actually responsive.

    I highly recommend the change.
