Ok, I spoke with Sony sales rep. I told him that my TX has a lit pixel on my screen after 3 days of use. He said that when they get more TX in stock, they will exchange it with new one. But my question is this. What happens if other one have more dead pixel than what I current one? I mean I spent long time to configure the system just the way i like it to be. I don't want to go to store back and forth for exchanges.
What do you think guys?

If you're fine with dead pixel on a $2000+ laptop, I'd say keep your old one. Personally, I don't mind spending a few hours on a new $2000+ laptop without dead pixels. Also, what are the chance of you getting another new laptop with a dead pixel?

Officially the manufacturers have different policies on how many dead pixels are allowed before they accept somethig as faulty, I think the average is 3. I personally would not trust the word of a sales rep on an exchange promise, and I would get a refund.
In the UK we legally have 28 days to get a refund or exchange o faulty goods so I would wait for new stock safe in the knowledge that I am protected. But AFAIK the US consumer laws arent as friendly. -
absolutely. keep exchanging it until you are happy. test it out before you start installing and configuring. easiest way to to look at the screen while its all white... and then all black.

I got new TX.
TX is real hard to find in Canada for now at least. But my Sony store sales rep manage to get me a new one. This one has no dead pixel thus far. Truely beautiful screen indeed! -
Good for you. I missed this thread initially but would have suggested swapping drives so you didn't have to start over, oh well.
Should I return my lit pixeled TX for new one?
