Turning off computer right when I clicked the turn off button took me 27 seconds.

Turning on computer to password prompt took me 45 seconds.

Loading desktop right when password was entered and immediately clicking Firefox as soon as desktop showed took 1:07.

Are these good times because I stupidly tried to download a torrent last night and I got a virus and I was like in such a panic because I just got the computer 2 days ago. My computer wouldn't like boot up so I had to use the recovery disks and use system restore. I did a virus scan this morning and it found another virus because I downloaded a different torrent that I knew was virus free before because I downloaded it before the one that gave me a virus and it infected some file in the Microsoft\search thing in program files and I didn't think it was that important so I deleted it.

I did another virus scan in program files and I found no viruses in their so I guess my computer is virus free now. Just a little bit worried though because My computer is running sluggishly. It's not a real big thing, like my compute is going fast and all but yeah. It should be better in a few days though. Just worried because maybe my start up/boot times aren't what they should be.

Those times are pretty slow for your computer. Use Spybot, adaware, and AVG to scan your computer again. Then try HiJack This and post a log on their website. I'm suspecting that your current scanner missed something.

If worse comes to worse, you can always backup and do a fresh install. And oh, stop downloading viruses.

I did a full C drive clean so my computer is blazing once again. I guess no more torrents for me=[
