my main complain about new Z is the bulky power supply! I'd like to replace it with something more portable but not sure which one is the best fit.
I found these two power supplies but couldn't find info about their compatibility with the new Z.
Cooler Master
Kensington

I too would like a smaller PSU (for travelling), but I'd prefer one manufactured by Sony.
The smallest one is part number VGP-AC19V30 although it's not much smaller than the standard one:

This is the adapter I use when mobile. I like it for the carrying case that holds the brick (more of a rectangular column on this one) and the cord in a velcro closing pouch. That makes it easier to manage when packing and unpacking it.
On the negative side, it has a really short cord that plugs into the Z...7 inches to be exact. Depending on where you're using it that can be pretty inconvenient. You almost have to use it on a table top of some sort where the power supply can rest - otherwise it will be tugging at the Z's connection port (not good). -

There's also the iGo adapters, those have power tips for specific laptop brands.
To me, it's not the volume that matters, it's the thickness. So, Dell got its adapters right... -
Kensington makes a really slim 120 watt adapter. It's not exactly green though. Even when you laptop is not plugged in, it burns 5 watts. Most adapters burn 1 when idle.

I use the slim Sony adapter with this ZipLinq from Amazon:
Amazon.com: Cables Unlimited ZIP-PWR-NB ZipLinq Retractable
It's a quick-retract. Very small and elegant solution as all wires tuck or retract neatly, making setup and breakdown an instant task. On the flip side, the length is pretty short which has created an issue. It's also worth mentioning that the ZipLinq is 110v only, I've read that they smoke on 220v and thus don't bring mine overseas.
I also liked Dell's super thin solution but the above is extremely tidy and quick to use, by far the best laptop power solution I've ever had.
Smallest, most portable power adapter for VAIO Z1?
